Easingwold is a very pretty and typical Yorkshire village. The whole thing is centered on its market square and since the by-pass road was created it is not as busy with traffic. There is something special about this place and it has lots of quirky little lanes and alleyways to walk through. The local shops have a by-gone era feel to them and retain that charm that is missing now from so many places. You are spoilt for a choice of places to eat as there are a number of really good eateries. Of course there are also a number of really atmospheric pubs some of which are really historic and old and market day on a Friday. It isn't a big place and is ideal for just strolling around. Easingwold is a good base for exploring the surrounding area with places like Coxwold easily reachable with a short drive. Of course you are also close to York City which is best visited by using the Park and Ride.
